This procedure applies to the following scenarios

1. You just got your new UCA-FX08 and you have connected it to your network but you are not able to access the admin gui.
2. You just reset the UCA-FX08 to factory default by pressing the reset button and you are not able to connect to the admin gui anymore.

Introduction

The UCA-FX08 is configured with the following default IP addresses when shipped from the factory. This is also true when you reset the UCA-FX08 to factory default.

WAN Interface

• IP Address: 192.168.0.100
• Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
• Default Gateway: 192.168.0.1

LAN Interface

• IP Address: 192.168.1.100
• Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
• Default Gateway: None

Your PC (we'll call it the "Admin PC" in this tutorial) needs to be in the same LAN as well as IP network as the UCA-FX08 in order to connect to the Admin GUI. This is especially true when you connect to the admin gui for the first time or when you have just factory reset the UCA-FX08 by pressing the reset button.

Follow the steps below to access the UCA-FX08 Admin GUI. Once you are able to successfully login to the admin gui, you can then the IP address to match your network.

1. Connect the “WAN port” on the UCA-FX08 to your LAN (Ethernet switch or Internet router)
2. Connect the Admin PC to the same LAN Switch or Internet Router
3. Change the IP address of your Admin PC Ethernet interface to following: IP Address: 192.168.0.200, Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway: leave blank, DNS Servers: leave blank
4. Open the browser on the Admin PC and type http://192.168.0.100
5. This should be able to connect to the admin gui. Default username / password is admin / mysecret
6. Select "Options --> Advanced Settings --> Show Advanced Settings" from the Menu.
7. Scroll down on the left hand menu and select Network Settings.
8. Change the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway, DNS on this screen with the desired ip address to match your network. Take care to use an unique ip address that is not assigned to any other device on your network.
9. Save the settings and reboot the FX08. Chance the IP address on your Admin PC back to its original IP or DHCP state.
10. Once the FX08 reboots, you’ll be able to access the admin gui with the newly assigned IP Address.

If you followed all the above steps correctly, you should be able to successfully connect to the UCA-FX08 Admin GUI and change the IP address setttings.
