Summary
In order to load your logo image to your d28p phone, you need to first convert the logo into .dob format. You need an utility (PictureExDemo.exe) to convert your image to .dob format which is available under our download section as explained in the following steps. If your image is in .png or .jpg, .gif, etc format, you need to first convert the image to .bmp file using windows paint utility. Once you have converted your image to .bmp file, you'll then use PictureExDemo.exe utility to convert it into .dob file. You can then upload the .dob image to the phone. Following is the step-by-step procedure to prepare your logo and then upload it to your D28P phone.1Download tool required to change Logo
- Download the Tool from download section Utility to change LCD Logo Image
- Extract the zip file into a folder on your desktop called "logo_change"
2Prepare your Logo
- The new LOGO must be in .bmp format
- The new LOGO’s maximal resolution must less than or equal to 263*82
- The new LOGO must be black, white, or 2 gray scale(as the picture shows)
3Convert your logo to .dob format
- Run the PictureExDemo.exe, the current folder will automatically generate a folder named adv. This is the folder where your newly generated .dob file will be stored.
- Select your logo image by clicking on the "Add" button.
- Your logo image will show inside the window. Click on "Convert" to convert the image to .dob format
4Upload the .dob image to the Phone
- Connect to your phone admin gui using your browser. You'll need to know the IP address of the phone which can be found using the Phone LCD menu option "Menu-->Status-->Enter"
- Login to the admin gui. The default username is admin & password is admin
- Select Menu option "Phone --> Features --> Upload Logo" as shown in the images below to upload your logo image
If you followed the above steps as explained, you'll be able to successfully upload the new logo to your phone. If the logo does not appear as expected on the phone LCD screen, the main reason could be that your .bmp image did not meet the resolution requirement as explained in step 1. You need to follow step 1 - 4 again to get it right!
